AC Milan loanee Christopher Nkunku has continued his good form, scoring a hat-trick in the first half of RB Leipzig’s game against Eintracht Frankfurt.
After ending up in the ‘Bomb Squad’ in the summer, Nkunku agreed to leave Milan and return to Leipzig on loan with an option to buy . With one goal and two assists in his first five games, it would be fair to say that his loan started well.

Tonight, however, the Frenchman decided to take things up a notch with a hat-trick in the first half against Frankfurt. His goal tally thus stands at four goals and the game isn’t even finished yet at the time of writing, so he could potentially score more., Goals Xtra (@GoalsXtra) October 10, 2026
All three goals were fairly easy finishes in front of goal, but Nkunku deserves credit for being in the right place at the right time. It will surely boost his confidence a lot and perhaps spark a run of games with even more goals.
While one could argue that Milan could have used his goalscoring, it’s also true that good performances will increase the likelihood of Leipzig triggering the buy-out option, which is valued at around €28m. In other words, the Rossoneri aren’t just watching on with frustration.
