It seems that Fikayo Tomori could see out the final year of his AC Milan contract if things don’t change between now and the mercato’s end.

Tomori’s departure this summer has always seemed like a possibility. Even with Ruben Amorim using him in pre-season, the fact didn’t change that he was available for clubs to take a look at and they have.

Interest has been present in the central defender, but it hasn’t been reciprocated so far. Whilst others have found moves, or are close to a decision, as is the case with Youssouf Fofana, he hasn’t reached that stage.

Tomori makes a stand

Nicolo Schira provided a concerning update on Tomori’s future on his X account , stating that the central defender would ‘prefer being sidelined’ as opposed to leaving the club at this moment.

The Englishman is ready to stay with the Rossoneri until the expiration of his contract next summer, it seems, especially after rejecting three offers from foreign clubs. It’s certainly a frustrating position for him to take.

What must be noted, though, is that the Diavolo remain determined to add another central defender to their squad this summer. Him not being part of the plans does not change that, even if he doesn’t leave.
